HID pivCLASS R10 Mini-Mullion Contactless Reader
The HID pivCLASS R10 Mini-Mullion Contactless Reader is designed for organizations that require high-assurance identity verification in FIPS 201 "Controlled" access areas. Its compact mini-mullion design makes it ideal for narrow door frame installations while providing advanced authentication capabilities for government, military, and enterprise security environments.
When used with the HID pivCLASS Authentication Module (PAM), the pivCLASS R10 provides strong credential authentication by verifying that the presented PIV credential is genuine, that the credential data has not been altered or manipulated, and that the card is not a duplicate or clone. The reader supports any PIV-based credential with an ISO 14443 contactless interface containing a Card Authentication Key (CAK) certificate, helping organizations meet stringent identity assurance requirements.
In addition to supporting PIV credentials, the HID pivCLASS R10 can also read legacy credential technologies, including iCLASS®, iCLASS SE®, and HID Prox® cards, making it an excellent solution for organizations transitioning to higher-security authentication. Configurable to operate in either Wiegand or PAM mode, the reader provides flexible integration into existing access control systems while maintaining compatibility with evolving security requirements.
