Mike Shields, Founder and Chairman
Mike Shields spent 20 years in the computer industry with Burroughs/Unisys in a number of successful assignments in sales, marketing, distribution and management. Prior to founding IdentiSys, Mike was in the identification industry with Datacard for nearly eight years. Hired at Datacard as Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing in the Americas, Mike moved on to creating an internal new ventures company before accepting the position of President, Datacard Enterprise Company, one of the primary lines of products and services that IdentiSys represents.

Michael Shields II, President and CEO
Michael Shields II previously served as the Executive Vice President of Sales and Distribution at IdentiSys prior to his promotion to President and CEO in October, 2015. He started his career at IdentiSys in 2001 and has held positions throughout the organization in shipping, marketing, product management, service, and sales to gain a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the business. Michael has over 20+ years of experience specializing in the Identification industry. Michael is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship.

Joe Wright, Executive Vice President of Sales
Joe Wright joined IdentiSys in 2006 following a 10-year career at FARGO Electronics (now part of HID Global), a global leader in secure identity card issuance printers and systems. As Executive Vice President of Sales, Joe oversees the company’s sales operations and strategic growth initiatives throughout North America. He brings more than 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, product management, and accounting, including over 25 years specializing in the identification industry. Joe earned his Master’s Degree in Business from Northern Illinois University and an Associate Master’s Degree in Competitive Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Tony Dick, Chief Financial Officer
Tony Dick joined IdentiSys in 2007 as Chief Financial Officer after previously serving as Vice President of Finance at FARGO Electronics, Inc. During his time at FARGO, he helped lead the company through several major initiatives, including an initial public offering, secondary public offering, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and the integration of financial systems and processes following the company’s acquisition by ASSA ABLOY. Prior to FARGO, Tony worked for the accounting firm Larson, Allen, Weishair, LLP. He earned both his B.S. in Accounting and Executive MBA from the University of Minnesota and is a member of the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Chris Sinnen, Executive Vice President of Service
Chris Sinnen joined IdentiSys in 2000 as a Customer Engineer and has since held leadership roles including Service Operations Manager and Director of Field Service and Operations before being promoted to Executive Vice President of Service. In his current role, Chris oversees the company’s service operations, field service organization, and technical support initiatives across North America. He brings more than 30 years of field service experience, including over 25 years in the identification and security industry with IdentiSys. Prior to joining the company, Chris worked for Advanced Mailing Systems.

Chung-Hao Liao, Vice President & General Manager of Gebco Hawaii
Chung-Hao Liao joined the IdentiSys family in 2007 following the acquisition of Gebco Hawaii, where he previously served as Regional Vice President. Throughout his career, Chung has played a key role in the growth and success of the Honolulu office, helping establish Gebco Hawaii as a trusted leader in identification, security, and presentation solutions throughout the region. Beginning his career with a focus on presentation product sales, his responsibilities and leadership roles have expanded significantly over the years. Chung brings extensive industry knowledge and operational leadership experience and holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Joe Franco, Vice President & General Manager of Capture Technologies
Joe Franco serves as General Manager and Vice President of Capture Technologies, a division of IdentiSys. With more than 40 years of experience in the identification and security industries, including over 25 years with Capture Technologies, Joe brings extensive expertise in access control, video surveillance, and smart card technologies. His leadership is centered on delivering customized, customer-focused solutions that improve both operational efficiency and security outcomes. Since Capture Technologies joined the IdentiSys family in 2024, Joe has continued to lead the organization’s growth and integration efforts while expanding its capabilities and service offerings throughout the region.

Justin Martin, Director of Distribution
Justin Martin joined ID Connection, a division of IdentiSys, in 2010 as East Coast Sales Account Manager and quickly established himself as a strong leader within the organization. In 2015, he was promoted to Director of Distribution, where he has played a key role in the continued growth and expansion of the company’s distribution business throughout North America. Justin brings extensive experience in channel sales, partner development, and distribution strategy, helping strengthen relationships with resellers and manufacturers across the identification industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse.

Jason Travers, Regional Vice President of Sales and Director of Security Solutions
Jason Travers joined IdentiSys in 2019 as Regional Vice President of Sales and was promoted in 2024 to lead the strategic growth of the company’s security division, LINSTAR Security. In his role, Jason oversees security sales initiatives and manages a team of security sales representatives across his territory, helping expand the company’s presence in access control, video surveillance, and integrated security solutions. With more than 25 years of experience in security sales management, Jason brings extensive industry expertise, leadership, and a strong focus on delivering innovative security solutions that support customer growth and long-term success.

Abby Brummund, Director of Finance
Abby Brummund has served as Director of Finance since May 2022, leading the company’s accounting operations with a focus on process improvement, fraud prevention, internal controls, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and sales tax compliance. Since joining IdentiSys in 2011, Abby has held several roles throughout the organization, beginning in Customer Service before advancing to Accounting Manager in 2013. Her broad operational and financial experience has helped strengthen the company’s accounting processes and support continued organizational growth. Abby earned a double major in Communication Studies and Marketing Communications from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls and has also completed accounting coursework at Metropolitan State University.

Steve Woitas, Director of Operations
Steve Woitas serves as Director of Operations, overseeing customer service, purchasing, order entry, and warehouse operations for IdentiSys. Since joining the company in 2007 as a shipping clerk, Steve has advanced through multiple leadership roles, earning promotions to Operations Manager in 2009 and Director of Operations in 2011. His leadership and operational expertise have helped streamline internal processes and support the company’s continued growth and customer service initiatives. Prior to joining IdentiSys, Steve spent 18 years as a foreman for a residential and commercial contractor, specializing in framing and construction management.

Tony Boelter, Director of Internet Sales
Tony Boelter rejoined IdentiSys in 2015 as Product Manager and has since advanced into multiple leadership roles, including Director of Inside Sales & Product Marketing – ID before transitioning into his current position overseeing internet sales and product management initiatives. With decades of experience in the identification industry, Tony brings extensive expertise in channel sales, product strategy, partner development, and customer engagement. Prior to rejoining IdentiSys, he held leadership roles with BadgePass, AMT Datasouth, and NBS, along with earlier experience at Datacard (now Entrust). Tony earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls.

Nam Huynh, Director of Marketing
Nam Huynh joined IdentiSys in 2014 as an SEO Specialist, bringing more than 20 years of experience in website development, digital strategy, and marketing. Since joining the company, Nam has advanced through several leadership roles, including Digital Marketing Manager, Senior Digital Marketing Manager, and Director of Marketing in 2020. He leads the company’s marketing initiatives, event marketing, brand strategy, website SEO, and content marketing efforts across the IdentiSys family of companies. Prior to IdentiSys, Nam held marketing positions with organizations ranging from media and publishing to a Fortune 100 company, where he supported national events and trade show initiatives. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Texas State University and also holds an associate’s degree in Journalism.
