The HID multiCLASS SE RP40 Contactless Smart Card Reader is part of HID Global's iCLASS SE platform, offering an adaptable and interoperable solution for secure electronic access control. Supporting both 13.56 MHz high-frequency and 125 kHz low-frequency credentials, the HID multiCLASS SE RP40 is compatible with Seos®, iCLASS SE®, iCLASS®, MIFARE® Classic, and MIFARE DESFire® EV1 technologies. The reader can also be configured for HID Mobile Access, enabling secure authentication through smartphones, wearables, and other compatible mobile devices. HID's Secure Identity Object (SIO®) technology adds an additional layer of encryption to protect credential data, while Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) provides secure bidirectional communication between the reader and access control controller.
