HID iCLASS SE RMK40 Smart Card Reader
The HID iCLASS SE RMK40 Smart Card Reader is part of HID's iCLASS SE platform, providing an adaptable and interoperable solution for organizations requiring multi-factor authentication at secured entry points. Designed for standard wall switch mounting, the RMK40 combines contactless smart card technology, an integrated keypad, and magnetic stripe reading capability to support a wide variety of credential types and authentication methods. It is compatible with cards and key fobs, making it easy to support existing and future access control deployments.
Built on HID's Secure Identity Object (SIO®) data model, the iCLASS SE RMK40 provides an additional layer of encryption to help protect identity data and strengthen credential security. The reader supports a broad range of credential technologies, including Seos, iCLASS SE, iCLASS, MIFARE Classic, and MIFARE DESFire EV1, while Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) support enables secure communication between the reader and the access control controller for enhanced system integrity.
